SUBJECT: Motor Vehicle Crash Blocks
Badger Road
For Immediate Release: North Pole,
Alaska.
Saturday
evening about 8:20 PM the North Star Volunteer Fire Department and North Pole
Ambulance responded to a head on motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles
(Ford Ranger pick up and Ford Focus sedan). The crash occurred on Badger
Road near Peridot. When fire fighters arrived they
found the two vehicles blocking Badger
Road and both vehicle had extensive front end
damage. There were two patients and one had to be extricated from the sedan.
Once the patients were extricated and transported to FMH, North Star Volunteer
Fire Department assisted AST with traffic control and scene lighting during the
investigation. The crash scene blocked Badger
Road for over five hours. Traffic was diverted around
the crash site.
The fire
department does not have any details on the cause of the crash or the condition
of the patients.
