Importance of Fire Safety
The State Fire Marshal’s office has determined the cause of the fatality fire that tragically claimed the life of a 5-year-old boy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. More details HERE.safety-img01

The NSVFD would like to stress the importance of teaching fire safety to children. Fire Departments across the nation spend countless hours in schools teaching kids about fire safety. NSVFD has a Fire Safety House that helps us provide a better learning environment for kids to practice fire safety activities such as crawling low in smoke. You can stop by our Fire Station on Bradway Road any time for Fire Safety Education or if you have an event coming up and you would like to have us come out with our Fire Safety House give us a call at 907-488-3400 to schedule a presentation.

Time to Spring Forward
Smoke-detectorIt's that time of year again and on Sunday March 10th at 2:00am make sure you set clocks ahead 1 hour. While you are changing your clocks take a couple extra minutes and change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. If you don't have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors or want help with changing the batteries give us a call. We can come install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and check any detectors you already have for FREE!
Give us a call at 907-488-3400 to schedule an appointment.
